We all enjoy a good holiday, but the toughest part is when it comes to an end and now you have to remember how to be a student again. It is easy to get frustrated with yourself because your work pace is generally slower, you’re tired and all you wanna do is be back on holiday. Here are a few of my tips which make getting back into the uni routine a bit easier. I do most of these tips in the last week of my holiday and trust me they have made a big difference.
- Read! Read! Read! This tip is going to be great for some of you and some of you are going to hate me for it, but the best way to keep your reading speed up is to keep reading. So to make the transition easier leisure reading will be your best friend.
- Start early! This tip is going to annoy a lot of you, but if you can get your course materials and topics early this will be your best friend. Because it means that you can start making summaries even if you do 1 chapter in a week at least it’s something. I know no one wants to do school work during the holidays, but trust me your future self will thank you for it.
- Rise and Grind! The toughest part of going back to school is probably getting used to waking up early and dragging yourself to class after you have snoozed your alarm like 5 times. But take the last few days of your holiday to get into the habit of waking up earlier
- Organisation and planning! This is the last tip because it takes place in the first week back at school. The biggest mistake you can make during this time is to do no work at all and just spend every evening in this week chilling because it will come back to bit you instead what you should do is plan small tasks for each day to get you into the habit of working
I hope these tips help you…
